*How do I change my DNS (domain name servers)?

If you already have a domain, and you sign up for hosting with Shoppe Pro, you will need to point your nameservers (aka DNS) to our servers in order for your website to work.

If you provide us with your login details at your registrar (where you registered your domain name), we would be happy to point your name servers for you free of charge if you order hosting with us. Just open a support ticket after you sign up containing this info and ask us to point your name servers for you.

However, to do this yourself, here are some basic instructions. All registrars are a little bit different, but you'll need go to your registrar to do this. Go to the place where you registered your name, log in, and look for a link regarding "Manage Domains", or "DNS Management", or something similar. (Some registrars such as Yahoo require you to "unlock" your site before changing the nameservers.) Once you find the area where you can change your nameservers, set them to the nameservers indicated on your welcome email.

Please Note: After you point your DNS to our servers, the change might take 24 - 48 hours to take effect. This change is called "propagation". During this time, you will need to access your site via the temporary urls given to you within your welcome email.
