In order to host with us you are not required to transfer your domain registration to us. All that is required is to point your name servers to us. (More Info Here). However, some people may wish to do this in order to manage their hosting and domain registration in one place. We do offer this option, but we have disabled this option from the sign up process in order to avoid confusion, as some people think this is required. If you would like to transfer your domain registration to us, the cost is $13.95 per year and your domain will automatically renew for 1 year.

The process to "Transfer" a domain registration goes like this:

1) Log into your current domain registrar
2) Disable any "Privacy Protection" and ensure that the email address on record is one you have access to
3) "Unlock" your domain (if it is currently locked).
4) Get your "EPP code" or find the "registry key" or something similar. (it's worded differently sometimes).
5) Once you have this key, you will need to place the order for the transfer by clicking here: Transfer Domain
6) Once the invoice is paid, our registrar will then send a confirmation email to the registrant on file (you) and you will need to click on a link within that email to approve the transfer. (T
7) The order then gets sent to the old registrar and they have to authorize the transfer. The process can take several days to a week or so.

Please note that domains cannot be transferred within 60 days after they were registered or renewed. Also it is a good idea to initiate a domain transfer when it has at least 30 days left before it expires.
