Hello SP Land!

My name is Jennifer and I am so glad to be here. I am very new to this whole hosting/building wonderland and I do feel a bit right now like I'm chasing the Mad Hatter. ;) I'm a bead girl and a graphic design girl--not web-wise at all. Code? Sure I know about code. It's when your nose gets all stuffy, you sneeze constantly and you ache all over, right? See? I am such a rookie.

My site is currently over at TypePad and has been chugging along for almost a year on what I call "bubble gum and duct tape", but it's what I was able to do at the time (new business, home educating three energetic boys and deployed soldier all at once...lots of bon-bon time <snicker> ; ).

Anyhow, I am *awed* and humbled by what y'all have done and are doing with your ecommerce! You are amazing! I am looking forward to learning all I can so that my website can actually be a help to my business, and not a hindrance. Imagine that. LOL

So good to meet you! : )

Peace,
Jennifer

Thank you Michelle--you and me both! This whole website thing...it's kinda like having a baby; I am seriously ready for an epidural. LOL And I agree--YES, Karina is wonderful!

Peace,
Jennifer

Just take it one item at a time and you'll be fine. Start with your categories, then add any subcategories you might have. Then add your items. Don't let it overwhelm you. When you think you're about to lose it, walk away for 30 minutes. :)

Ohhhhhh, if I was even to that part! LOL I'm at Square One with design and building the site, of which I know less that the four-year-old who is on my lap eating a popsicle. I can't wait to get to the fun part of actually posting product. :D

But this is a great adventure; I am happy to be learning something new.

Peace,
Jennifer

Jennifer,
Good luck in your website building adventure. I am moving very slowly as well with building my website - I've decided to take it slow while my boys are home this summer...can't wait until they go back to school! Ha! Ha! I am pretty much what I consider to be "computer illiterate", but ShoppePro has been pretty easy so far and the folks on this forum are great to offer advice and to help answer technical questions! Karina is Awesome!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's so reassuring to be in a place that doesn't just suck up your money and then it's all crickets when you have a question.

I went and downloaded the free 30 day trial of Dreamweaver CS3 to try it out--Heaven help me! LOL

Peace,
Jennifer
