Hey I'm new here, I'm about to swap my website over to shoppepro... not exactly sure how to do that, I was hoping you all could help me out a bit.
I have a website with yahoo right now, I built it myself with the yahoo site builder. I am ready to swap over to something a little less complicated hopefully shoppepro will simplify things a bit.
Any ideas on how to do this? Like I said in my subject I am a computer DOPE!!
Thanks!
Melissa

Hi Melissa,
If you are switching over from Yahoo, and are keeping your same website look and not using a designer, probably the most important article you should read is this one....
http://shoppepro.com/forums/index.php/topic,6.0.html
This explains the include codes, which are what makes this software work as easily as it does and keeps everything neat and tidy and where it belongs!
Yell if you need help!
And you are not a computer dope! Nope!

I'm using a template made by she and I deign, I'll be changing everything but the name basically. I figured it was time for a change.
Thank you for the link, I'm sure it will be helpful!

aw thanks Cathy ;) a nic-name given to me by my little grandpa (rip) when I was a baby, my grandma still calls me missymoo!
I think I'm starting to get somewhere with all this swapping stuff. I was able to change my name server from godaddy to shoppepro. I bought a cute template and need to fill out some information in order for the template to be loaded, I'm not sure how to find some of the information needed. Where is all my cart information?

Is it possible to talk to someone over the phone from shoppepro or is everything done via computer?? I was with yahoo, I built a website myself with yahoo site builder, recently switched to shoppepro. I'm having a really hard time getting started, I'm not sure if everything has been switched correctly and I have no idea how to get my new template set up.

Missymoo, what questions do you have? Is your designer asking for shoppepro info from you? If so, just forward her (or him) your shoppepro welcome email, it has everything they need to upload your template. Phone support is tough, as there are hundreds of members and Karina would never be off the phone...thats why we have the forums, just ask away...we'll jump in and help...

What a great idea, why didn't I think of that? I just forwarded my shoppepro welcome email to 'she and I design', thanks for the advise!
My site will be up and running one of these days, I'm determined! I can't wait to see it with the template I just bought, it's so pretty!!!
