Hi everyone! I'm not new to html or online selling but it's been awhile since I've done html. I design jewelry and have been doing it since around 2004. I initially started out using frontpage and html, but when my inventory grew and I wanted to be sure I didn't sell a one-of-a-kind more than once, I decided to try and utilize my web hosters free OSCommerce package. So, I tried figuring that out for about 1/2 a year and then hired a designer (and as you can imagine, paying WAY more than I ever wanted). They did a wonderful job, but sadly, there was a limit to their knowledge on OSC -and by the time I was frustrated with not being able to manage the "design" portion myself, I threw my hands up and decided to go back to html (which was probably a good thing since the OSC designer announced they wouldn't be handling OSC anymore).

Sooo, here I am. I have a temporary store hosted with Karina and I've been working on getting up to speed before I have the webaddress point to her server. Karina has been a TREMENDOUS help and I'm excited to "re-open" my new store/look. It has been a big weight off my shoulders to be able to get the store to where I would like it before having it go live.

I'm also looking forward to 'meeting' everyone here. :)

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find your new cart much easier to use than osCommerce. :)

Hi Cicely! So nice to see you here. And thank you to everyone for your welcomes.

As much as I love my current design -I have no control of changing anything other than maintaining my products (and I really, really don't like that). I'm all for change and change is good -so I'm already loving the new cart system and look forward to getting my site live. I have found there are some things I have in OSC that I really love, and don't have them with the new cart, but in the end -this system is still much better. :)

What type of things did you have in osC that you miss? Just curious. :)

Hi Cicely and welcome!

I also had my site on osC a year or two ago. This is a lot easier but I miss the customer database function and the ability to have it in AU format LOL - but I wouldn't go back for the world!

Karina and the team at SP are MORE than helpful and I am so glad to be here.
