If your outlook does not work any longer...read this!

I have found out, after almost a week of problems, that Comcast has changed their server settings. If you use outlook or outlook express, you will most likely need to change the ports. For example, I was able to receive, but not send email. I had to change my outgoing port to 587. So if you have comcast, you might want to check.
It was so kind of them to let us all go bonkers and only tell us when we called for support.... >:(

I was going to mention this today too! I'm glad you posted! I also have comcast and only today did it start giving me problems. I assumed it was Comcast since I blame them for all my problems anyway. >:( I changed my other port from 25 to 26 and it started working as well. Thanks for posting this Arlene!!

Wow. This really stinks. My outlook stopped working too!!! Man just an email from them could have saved so much trouble. Cheesh. I will see if I can fix today. :-*

I'm having an email issue unrelated to outlook or comcast. I was unable to send emails through webmail. Is there a thread about that somewhere?

If it's the 535 error code, yes. You won't be able to use the webmail to send since your ISP has blocked the default port for webmail. You'll need to use an email client like Thunderbird:

Also, since it sounds like your ISP blocks port 25, make sure you try port 26 instead. And if that doesn't work, you'll need to do this:
